Small Hydroelectric and Energy Consulting
Conditions for small hydro and other independent renewable generators are changing rapidly. Many developers who built small hydro plants in the PURPA era are facing low wholesale energy prices and no options for monetizing environmental attributes. This is what my family was facing, too. To learn more about the new clean energy economy, I obtained a Master's in Environmental Law from Vermont Law School. I am now working to construct new arrangements for our power plants. I am also working with other hydro owners and regulators in Albany to integrate small hydro into the state's energy plans and construct new opportunities for the owners of power plants and the communities that host them.
To further share my knowledge, I have started a small consultancy for small hydro. My focus is to help hydro owners find new market opportunities to keep facilities operating, or to redevelop mothballed plants.
